What is the 100 Club of Contra Costa County?
Founded in 1984, The 100 Club of Contra Costa County is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to standing by those who protect us. When tragedy strikes on the front lines, we deliver immediate financial aid and long-term assistance to the families of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters.

The 100 Club assists dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters who have been killed or seriously injured in the line of duty.

Notification
Upon receiving official notification of a line-of-duty death or critical injury from a local police or fire department leadership, chaplain, or liaison, The 100 Club immediately mobilizes its emergency response protocol. The Executive Director and Board Officers are alerted to verify eligibility and assign a dedicated liaison. This liaison connects directly with the department's Family Liaison Officer (FLO) to establish a private, compassionate line of communication and assess urgent family needs.

IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE
Within 24 to 48 hours of a confirmed line-of-duty death, The 100 Club fast-tracks an unrestricted $30,000 emergency grant to the surviving spouse or primary beneficiary. Delivered in person through careful coordination with the department’s Family Liaison Officer or Chaplain, this immediate gift provides zero-red-tape financial relief—helping cover urgent family needs and daily living expenses while complex federal, state, and insurance benefits are being processed.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE FAMILES OF OUR HEROES
To honor the legacy of our fallen heroes, The 100 Club provides long-term educational assistance to surviving children pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training. Because every family and educational path is unique, scholarships and living/educational expenses are evaluated on a flexible, case-by-case basis. Through a supportive, low-barrier review process, the Scholarship Committee determines funding for tuition, books, and living expenses, ensuring these young men and women have the resources needed to achieve their career goals.
